Tungsten carbide as raw material for your tooling has better (wear)properties then heat treaded steel. The main element in the carbide is wolfram carbide. As binder we use cobalt. Tungsten carbide is available in many grades. The grain size is very important for the quality and wear resistance of your products.

Tungsten carbide is mostly used in dies for the cold forging. Also other tools use carbide or carbide inserts. For example cutting knives. Dies for the forging industry can be formed as a mirror image of the products you must make.
